AGILENT / HP / HEWLETT-PACKARD / KEYSIGHT 1050 is a spectrometer used to measure ultraviolet-visible light. It is a double beam, dual-detector spectrometer capable of measuring 0.5nm to 999.99nm simultaneously or in separate scans, from 190nm to 1100nm. HP 1050 has a sample compartment, scanners, detectors, optics, and other components that allow for sample absorption measurements. The sample compartment is made from fused silica which reduces background noise and gives consistent results. Additionally, the sample compartment is removable and adjustable for the desired sample size. The spectrometer's optical components allow for precise wavelength selection and high accuracy. It utilizes two diffraction gratings in its design; one for the UV portion and one for the visible portion. Each grating is separately chosen to achieve a more accurate scan across the whole range. AGILENT 1050 features two independent detectors; one for UV and one for VIS. Both detectors are equipped with Silicon Photo Multipliers, which provide greater sensitivity and increased accuracy. Additionally, the detectors are cooled to reduce noise and drift. HEWLETT-PACKARD 1050 has a two-channel software interface which allows users to control the instrument and to analyze the data with ease. It also offers several modes of operation, such as single and dual beam operation, scan mode, control mode and data analysis mode. The spectrometer also has advanced features such as integration, compensation, background correction and peak detection. KEYSIGHT 1050 is a powerful tool for measuring and studying the effects of UV and visible light on samples. It provides unparalleled accuracy and sensitivity for a wide range of absorption and reflectance analyses. Its range and sensitivity make it an ideal choice for applications from medical research to semiconductor analysis.
