AGILENT / HP / HEWLETT-PACKARD / KEYSIGHT 1100 is an HPLC analytical instrument that is used for the ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopic detection of compounds. The instrument combines two different detection approaches, namely fluorescence detection and absorbance detection, to provide a versatile hyphenation of a HPLC equipment with a UV-Vis spectrometer. This instrument features an adjustable dual-beam system that includes a 1050D diode array detector (DAD) and a variable-wavelength detector. The 1050D DAD offers wide wavelength range coverage for general-purpose applications. The variable wavenumber detector allows the operating wavelength to be set for specific applications, such as special compound or excipients, to achieve higher sensitivity. The unit also features options for both manual and automated sample preparation, unattended operation, and flexible user interfaces. Additionally, the machine is equipped with an automated sample tray loader to enable automation of sample loading and optimization processes. The spectrometer also offers a high signal-to-noise ratio, sensitivity to low parts per billion levels, and low background noise. It is also highly resistant to environmental influences and temperature fluctuations. This instrument is compatible with a wide range of HPLC systems from a variety of manufacturers, including HP, GE, and Waters. HP 1100 is an ideal tool for qualitative and quantitative analyses, validation and method development, and qualitative and quantitative elemental analysis of various samples. It is suitable for applications such as drug clinical studies, pharmaceutical and biotechnological analyses, environmental chemistry studies, and forensic testing.
