It integrates the speed and power of the 6890 gas chromatograph with the sophisticated sensitivity and selectivity of the 5973 MSD. This combination of the two instruments produces a chromatograph that allows for better compounds identification and quantification due to its high separation, narrow bandpass and improved dwell time. The powerful separation capabilities of the 6890N make it particularly well suited for analysis of complex samples with multiple components. It features low-volume injectors with a temperature range of 20-450°C, a fast pulse purge system for rapid solvent flowrates, and an automated column configuration technology which allows for quick set-up and optimization of any run. With its high-sensitivity detector, it can detect nanogram levels of various volatile organic compounds (VOCs) over a wide concentration range. It also has superior peak shape and resolution, fast fidelity of response to temperature gradients, and the ability to accurately separate isomers. The G1530N is a high-definition mass spectrometry detector that offers unsurpassed sensitivity and selectivity of identification and quantification of samples. Its high-sensitivity and wide dynamic range provide excellent performance for complex mixtures. The G1530N utilizes electron impact ionization (EI) and chemical ionization (CI) modes to generate mass spectrum data and features a universal Atmospheric Pressure Chemical Ionization source (APCI). The exceptional sensitivity of the G1530N enables trace-level detection and quantification of target and non-target compounds, including VOCs, pesticides, fuel-oxidation products, and many other compounds. HP 6890N / G1530N can also provide automated library searches of both mass spectral and primary biochemical identification data with its powerful library searching function. This system allows for complex analyses to be completed quickly and accurately, and is integrated with a high-speed data acquisition module to ensure that all Chromatograms are acquired without latency.
