APPLIED BIOSYSTEMS / ABI / MDS SCIEX 5600+ Triple TOF (Time of Flight) Mass Spectrometer is an advanced, high-performance triple quadrupole (QQQ) system designed for the most discriminating quantitative and qualitative proteomic and metabolomic measurements. It achieves very high reproducibility, accuracy, and sensitivity, and is optimized for use with both liquid and gas chromatographic (LC and GC) platforms. The Triple TOF allows for easy, direct analysis of panel assays. Its mass range is greater than that of the classic quadrupole than anyone else, and its resolution is higher. Its sophisticated design also makes it a versatile tool for a variety of tasks, such as targeted and non-targeted qualitative and quantitative analyses, metabolite identification, protein identification and quantification, and proteomics. The Triple TOF is equipped with sophisticated hardware and software, such as the Apparatus Control Software (ACS), the Dynamic Flow Manager Pro (DFM-Pro) software, and ABI Acquisition Method Suite (AAMS). ACS provides a number of key features for the instrument, such as automated set-up and data collection; automated calibration and tuning; and all-in-one probe and interfacing control. DFM-Pro offers full control over the instrument flow, including sample collection, reagents, calibrants, methods, acquisition settings, and post-acquisition data processing. AAMS provides an efficient, user-friendly acquisition and analysis platform to greatly enhance the speed and accuracy of results. The Triple TOF is also designed to enhance performance, accuracy, and speed. It incorporates advanced ion trajectory technology and predictive diagnostics to significantly improve mass resolution, sensitivity, and repeatability. It also includes automated calibration and tuning; automated data collection and processing; a robust scanning range; and A2E sample introduction technology for clean, fast, and reproducible analyses. Additionally, it features both single-run and sequential methods for the highest levels of accuracy and sensitivity. The Triple TOF is capable of conquering a variety of research and clinical lab applications, across a range of atom masses and charge states.
