CAMECA IMS 4F is a powerful and versatile spectrometer designed for Micro-Imaging and Chemical Micro-Analysis. This versatile instrument features a Column-Based Ion Microprobe (CBI), which provides maximum sensitivity for the most challenging measurements. The 4F is the perfect choice for researchers and scientists who need a reliable and advanced spectrometer for elemental analyses and isotopic research. CAMECA IMS4F spectrometer combines a high-angular resolution with total ion-counting capability, allowing for the best performance in scanning and elemental mapping. Its highly versatile Column-Based Ion Microprobe (CBI) performs imaging and mapping with a resolution as high as 0.2 µm, enabling quick and accurate elemental composition maps. The CBI uses an efficient and effective column arrangement for higher resolution and performance, with optimized energy settings for different samples. IMS-4F is equipped with multiple detectors, such as SDD (silicon Drift detector) and WD (scattering window detector). These detectors allow simultaneous measurements of all elements up to uranium and permit the detection of a wide range of isotopic ratios and ratios of naturally occurring elements. The SDD detector also offers improved resolution compared to traditional S-SDD arrangements. To ensure the accuracy of the measurements, IMS 4F is protected with advanced control systems, a large vacuum system and a powerful cryopump. The cryopump has both a liquid nitrogen cooling system and a cryogenic isolator, which prevents sample contamination during the analysis.
