NANOMETRICS / BIO-RAD / ACCENT / CIPHERGEN SELDI-TOF MS (Surface Enhanced Laser Desorption/Ionization); Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry) is a type of mass spectrometry instrument designed to detect small molecules from diverse samples. The technology is based on the principles of matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI). Unlike MALDI however, SELDI does not require crystallization or pre-dissociation of the sample before analysis.
