PERKIN ELMER GF-AAS-600 is a highly advanced technical instrument with dedicated atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS) capabilities. This spectroscope combines analog and digital technologies to obtain fast and accurate results in the analysis of inorganic compounds, and is increasingly used in a wide range of scientific applications. The instrument itself consists of a main body, an optical bench and a vertical and horizontal air-cooled platform for sample introduction. The optical bench contains a variety of components connected to the main body, which includes the light source, monochromator, a high resolution Fabry-Pérot interferometer, and mirror and photomultiplier tubes. The light source is a high power xenon lamp, providing a wavelength range from 180 to 900 nm. The chromator is grating monochromator with a concave prism, which is used to select and monitor the wavelength emitted by the light source. The Fabry-Pérot interferometer is used to provide a clean measured signal for analysis. In operation, samples to be tested are introduced to the vertical and horizontal air-cooled platform and aligned for alpha and beta measurement. This is done in order to record the amount of light emitted and compare it against the background radiation. An electric arc is then created which heats the sample and produces the signal required for testing. The signal is then monitored by means of the Fabry-Pérot interferometer and the results are read off the instrument's display. GF-AAS-600 is a highly accurate and reliable instrument that delivers quick and precise measurements, including relative peak identification and peak height measurements, for a range of samples. This makes it suitable for a variety of analytical procedures, including environmental testing and quality assurance. Furthermore, appropriate adjustment controls enable fast and simple calibration, while the use of computer software ensures that results are easily recorded and analyzed. This instrument is a useful tool in a variety of laboratories, and is ideal for testing and measuring inorganic compounds.
