SHIMADZU 2010 GC Gas Chromatograph is designed to enable precise, efficient and user friendly methods for sample analysis. This instrument is equipped with a turbo molecular pump and a ceramic micro hot-column design which allow for rapid analysis with no increase in background noise. The unit is equipped with both a flame ionization detector (FID) and a flame thermal conductivity detector (FCTD) for thorough sample analysis. The FID is capable of detecting volatile compounds down to the parts per trillion level and features high sensitivity, linearity and selectivity; while the FCTD is capable of detecting and measuring heavier compounds such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons with excellent specificity and repeatability. A built-in intelligent controller enables precise conditions for sample analysis through automated calibration cycles and data entry. The efficient sample analysis capabilities of 2010 GC are further enhanced by dual injection modes for manual and semi-automated sampling as well as automated fraction collection. The output software system is able to monitor on-line data analysis and collection as well as record both historical and real-time settings for later analysis. SHIMADZU 2010 GC compares favorably amongst other gas chromatographs on the market with a number of features that make method development, operation and troubleshooting easier, such as loop flush, identification of equipment errors and status, built-in safety features, versatile programming and multiple sample introduction choices. This unit can be operated in a variety of locations such as laboratories and process industries. It is equipped with an ulraviolet-visible (UV/Vis) detector and can accommodate a variety of column lengths and diameters. Additionally, it has the ability to perform a wide range of separations such as temperature-programmable gas-liquid chromatography (TPGLC) and gas-solid chromatography (GS). All of these features, together with its large non-volatile memory and mass fingerprinting capabilities make 2010 GC a powerful, robust and versatile chromatography system, suitable for both qualitative and quantitative analyses.
