The Thermo Scientific THERMO SCIENTIFC Nicolet 6700 spectrometer is a high resolution therapeutic spectrometer used in laboratory research, medical diagnostics, and industrial process analysis. With its advanced infrared (IR) and Raman spectroscopy capabilities, Nicolet 6700 provides the research and industry user with precise detection and analysis of chemicals, materials, and biological structures. This instrument is a full-featured, single-user, tabletop spectrometer, incorporating the latest technology for optimal performance. The Thermo Scientific THERMO SCIENTIFC Nicolet 6700 allows for both near- and mid-Infrared spectral selection for a molecular absorption of both solid and liquid sample components. The instrument has a spectral range of 4000-350 cm-1 with a resolution ranging from 0.5-4 cm-1 with an increased resolution on higher wavenumbers up to 0.3 cm-1. Nicolet 6700 optical bench incorporates a Martin-Puplett interferometer and a long-working-distance lens, which allowed direct sampling of a wide range of solids, semi-solids, and liquid cell samples. THERMO SCIENTIFC Nicolet 6700 employs a single- or dual-channel detector equipment, using two different complementary technologies, Uncooled MCT (Mercury Cadmium Telluride) and DTGS (Deuterated Triglycine Sulfate). The DVSA PathFinder™ software, preloaded with the 6700 system, provides user-friendly data acquisition software designed to provide replicable, reliable results from the instrument. Additionally, the users have the ability to use the Thermo Nicolet LiveLink™ tool, which allows for real-time Raman unit control and data collection for optimization. This spectrometer offers the versatility, reliability and accuracy of an IR spectrometer in an easy-to-use platform. Its automated tools and intuitive controls result in faster and more accurate measurement of sample composition and spectral characteristics. The semi-automated sample handling machine eliminates the need for manual sample preparation and allows for more efficient and accurate analysis. Nicolet 6700 also provides a wide range of software features and analysis tools that include spectral processing and quantitative analysis to allow for the most accurate data analysis. With the substantially reduced signal-to-noise ratio, improved accuracy, and the modular externals supporting the detector, THERMO SCIENTIFC Nicolet 6700 provides users with a powerful tool for process analysis.
