WATERS / MICROMASS VG Autospec Ultima is a powerful spectrometer designed to measure small molecules in solution through atomic resolution. This device is capable of rapid characterization of proteins, peptides, polymers, and other small molecules. This spectrometer is equipped with an Autospec Ultima panoramic scanning spectrometer for high resolution nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analysis. This instrument has a permanent magnetic field of 9.4 T (equivalent to 1,864 gauss), which allows for highly sensitive and chemical-specific measurements of small molecules. It is equipped with a range of higher order frequency components and an acquisitions system capable of operation up to 8,192 scans per second. NMR spectra, obtained with this device, are used to resolve chemical structures and measure various parameters of molecules, such as chemical shift, coupling constants, and relative affinities. Through the device's Optima PLUS software package, these data can be interpreted, graphically displayed, and analyzed in numerous ways. Graphical images can be saved and stored for later use, and all experiment parameters and results are permanently recorded on the computer. This spectrometer also has numerous automated processes that allow for high throughput and reliable data acquisition. The Autospec Ultima uses advanced signal-to-noise ratio optimization and background noise subtraction technologies to increase the signal-to-noise ratio of the spectra obtained. Pre-programmed models are also used to facilitate pulse shape optimization and scan time reduction. WATERS VG Autospec Ultima is also compatible with a variety of liquid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis techniques, enabling users to combine multiple techniques for more comprehensive characterization. This spectrometer is designed for use in medical, pharmaceutical, academic, and industrial research. It is an ideal tool for understanding the structure and properties of small molecules in great detail.
