WATERS / MICROMASS ZQ is a powerful quadrupole mass spectrometer designed for fast, reliable and sensitive measurements of both large and small molecules. WATERS ZQ's unbeatable sensitivity helps to tackle the most challenging sample to analyze, even when the sample is present in low concentrations. At the core of MICROMASS ZQ is the quadrupole mass filter, which is a four-pole, high-stability device that is used to identify and separate ions based on their mass-to-charge (m/z) ratio. The mass filter is driven in alternating directions by two high-voltage power supplies to create a background of molecular motion in which ions are separated according to their m/z. A collision cell is located between the filters and the detector, which can be used to fragment and broaden certain ions, allowing the researcher to identify the ions and measure their abundance. ZQ's fast revolutionary Segmented Quadrupole Technology (SQT) ensures the highest performance even for the most challenging samples, without compromising on the level of sensitivity. Thanks to a combination of advanced features that minimize noise levels, such as enhanced system robustness and function control, WATERS / MICROMASS ZQ is well-suited for both in-depth and routine mass spectral analysis. WATERS ZQ also provides extensive data acquisition and processing capabilities, such as full scan, SIM and combination scan. This powerful data collection and processing capabilities enable researchers to understand and interpret their data in detail. To further enhance data collection, MICROMASS ZQ is fitted with the Proteowizard software which allows users to build custom instrument settings that are tailored to the needs of their research. ZQ also offers a range of other useful features, including a wide range of available sources and detectors, Auto Tune and Calibrate, and an automated comprehensive sequence optimization. Furthermore, the data collected from WATERS / MICROMASS ZQ can be easily exported to a variety of formats for external analysis in order to identify and quantify unknowns or impossible to separate co-elutions. In conclusion, WATERS ZQ is a powerful spectrometer that offers both high performance, sensitivity and accuracy. With features such as enhanced system robustness, automated sequence optimization, and fast SQT technology, MICROMASS ZQ is a valuable tool for any researcher requiring high quality results, quickly and reliably.
