ROHDE & SCHWARZ PSL3 is an advanced wafer and mask scrubber that offers precision scrubbing of both metallic and non-metallic substrates up to 300mm in diameter. The scrubber offers superior cleaning performance through the use of nanotechnology brushes and an integrated cleaning head. The unit is designed with advanced control systems to allow for efficient and precise scrubbing. The unit utilizes an advanced cleaning head and brushes to yield uniform scrubbing pressure and motion with each stroke. Each nanotechnology brush head is programmed to scrub the exact surface area needed for each substrate. This allows for precision cleaning while minimizing any damage to the surface. The brushes are driven via a motor which is capable of producing speeds up to 2000 RPM. Additionally, the cleaning head features a steep angle adjustment of up to +/-30 degrees as well as an angle switching feature providing a repeatable cleaning process. Non-metallic substrates are cleansed with amyl acetate which is supplied from an external source or recirculated within the unit. Additionally, the unit features an ultrasonic cleaning function and is capable of drying the substrate with air or nitrogen. The unit utilizes an intuitive Human Machine Interface (HMI) for controlling scrubbing and drying modes as well as for data logging. Additionally, it supports Remote Access Monitoring (RAMP) via a TCP/IP network for monitoring scrubbers located in other locations. PSL3 is designed for robust and reliable performance and is constructed for use in cleanrooms, as well as with corroding applications. Protection against dust and oil is provided by its sheet metal housing and features an integrated filter system that can capture particles as small as 0.1 μm.
