RIGAKU Ultima IV is a high performance x-ray diffractometer for laboratory and industrial use. It is the latest version of the successful Ultima series, utilizing a variety of options to meet the demands of the customer. The equipment is equipped with a sealed-tube rotating anode source and a high-sensitivity scintillation detector, providing conveniently identifiable, high-resolution diffraction data. The system is small and compact for laboratory settings, and can also be used in environments such as production lines, providing robust operation. The source material for Ultima IV is a sealed rotating anode tube with a Ni-target and Rh X-rays. This produces a wide-range of wavelengths and line-widths for high precision analysis. The crystal monochromator lens is produced with a powerful rare-earth magnet, enabling the filtering of unwanted background radiation. The anode is driven by a control unit, making the unit very user friendly. RIGAKU Ultima IV's detector also features state-of-the-art technology with an ultra-sensitive scintillation detector. This allows for very high resolution data recording, allowing for the analysis of crystalline structures in nearly invisible powders and thin films. The detector is thermoelectrically cooled, enabling it to be very reliable in harsh environments. The control interface for Ultima IV is driven by a high-speed, user-programmable controller computer with a 12.1-inch color display. This allows for easy data entry and manipulation of data as well as a user-friendly graphical representation of the raw data. The machine is interfaced with USB/GPIB/Ethernet, providing a range of powerful, expandable network connections with other systems. Provided with a wide variety of options, RIGAKU Ultima IV is built for versatility and performance, meeting the demands of both laboratory and industrial applications. From its sealed tube rotating anode source and high-sensitivity scintillation detector, to its powerful control computer and optional network interfaces, Ultima IV offers reliable and efficient x-ray diffraction to unlock the secrets of crystalline materials.
