KOKUSAN SPD-160RN is an advanced, environmentally friendly photoresist equipment created to rapidly and accurately apply detailed circuitry onto printed circuit boards. This system uses a special photographic process called image reversal, which allows instant exposure to ultraviolet light for high precision and accuracy. SPD-160RN unit is a two-part process, comprised of developing and etching stages. In the developing stage, the photoresist machine attaches to the materials used to form the circuits, such as copper, zinc or aluminum. During this process, the UV light aims at regions where the resist must be activated, exposing it to light. After exposure, the photoresist chemically reacts with the PCB material, binding to the substrate while blocking out areas that are not meant to be etched. The etching stage is where the photoresist is used to clean and shape the intricate circuitry. This process occurs after all areas that won't be etched have been exposed, at which point these regions are applied with a strong alkaline stripping solution to dissolve the photoresist. The exposed metal surfaces are then put into contact with an acidic solution which dissolves away the unwanted metal. The remaining photoresist protects the intricate circuitry, allowing for precise etching and preventing any damage to the materials used. KOKUSAN SPD-160RN photoresist tool offers superior accuracy, speed and better environmental protection compared to similar chemical processes. It not only has high resistivity, but thanks to the use of ultraviolet rays, the solder asset is able to bond with the substrate in a short amount of time, providing a superior temperature profile and better insulation properties. Finally, this model requires minimal amounts of hazardous chemicals, which means less pollution and waste materials are generated.
