OKK SRD is a photoresist equipment developed by OKK Industrial Co. Ltd. It is primarily used in the semiconductor industry to allow for the precise patterning of tiny structures on the microchip. This is done by using light sensitive materials to selectively expose portions of the chip while preserving other parts. The photoresist system starts with a UV sensitive chemicals that get deposited onto a semiconductor wafer. These chemicals form a resist layer that can be patterned using a variety of photolithographic methods. When a pattern is exposed to a UV radiation source, the resist layer will harden. This forms a mask that allows for the pattern to be transferred onto the underlying metal material with precision. This process begins with a thin layer of photoresist being applied to a semiconductor wafer. Then, the wafer is placed on a photomask and the imaging unit is adjusted to the desired exposure wavelength and intensity. When the photoprojector takes a shot, ultraviolet light passed through the photomask onto the photoresist and exposes it where the pattern allows. If the exposure is correct, the resist will be hardened along the exposed pattern, while the un-exposed portions will be washed away easily. In the next step, etching chemicals are applied to the wafer, which will be absorbed by the exposed resist layer and unaffected by the un-hardened portions. As the etching progresses, the pattern on the photomask is etched onto the surface of the wafer. Depending on the desired result, the etching can be done with greater precision to create very small, intricate designs. Once the etching is complete, the resist layer is removed, leaving just the pattern on the surface of the wafer. If more details need to be added, the process can be repeated, allowing for greater accuracy over another layer. This entire process is known as lithography, and allows for the precise production of components at very small sizes. SRD provides the highest quality of photoresist available and can be mounted onto various substrates, such as silicon, quartz, and glass. Furthermore, its light sensitivity range extends from the deep UV to the visible spectrum, which makes it useful for both high-end optical lithography processes as well as general circuit requirements. Overall, OKK SRD is an excellent photolithographic machine that delivers precise patterns with ease. Its user-friendly operation allows it to be employed in various industries, but it especially excels when making small-scale components, such as those found in microchips. Furthermore, with its wide range of light sensitivities, its usage extends far beyond just optical lithographies.
