SVG 88-3 is a photoresist equipment developed by Sun Chemical, which is suitable for use in semiconductor and sensor technology applications. The system is made up of three components; a carrier, a photoresist and an aqueous developer. The carrier is a pre-sensitized sheet which enables the photoresist to adhere to the surface of the substrate. This is then exposed to lithographic light sources in order to expose the portions of the photoresist that need to be etched. The photoresist is a light-sensitive material which is applied to the substrate prior to exposure. When exposed to light, it develops a reduction in its solubility, allowing it to selectively cover the exposed parts of the substrate, thus creating patterns. The light source used to expose the photoresist is typically a mask, which has openings of various sizes and shapes determined by the pattern being etched. The developer is an aqueous solution which is used to dissolve away the unexposed photoresist, revealing the underlying substrate surface. The intensity and duration of the developer must be accurately balanced to ensure that all of the unwanted residues and tissue debris are washed away, while leaving only the desired pattern. 88-3 unit is made up of a wide variety of carrier and photoresist types which are designed to meet the needs of different applications. The two main components of the photoresist are the photosensitive polymers and the radiation absorbing dyes. The polymers are used to make sure that the photoresist has the right amount of solubility and adhesion for the specific application. While the dyes are used to optimize the light absorption and response to the lithographic light source. SVG 88-3 machine is extremely versatile and robust, allowing it to be used in a wide range of semiconductor and sensor manufacturing applications. The ability of the tool to accurately define patterns of different sizes and shapes makes it particularly useful for creating intricate designs with fine details. It is also capable of providing high throughput and resolution, making it an ideal choice for large-scale production. With the ability to cover large areas with a single sheet, 88-3 has become an essential tool for the production of integrated circuits, sensors and other types of electronics.
