TEL / TOKYO ELECTRON Equipment is a photoresist TEL System that is primarily used in semiconductor device fabrication. It is the most widely used TOKYO ELECTRON Unit for the lithographic process, which is a critical step in the creation of integrated circuits (ICs).Machine consists of three components - the photoresist, the photolithographic tools, and the imaging TEL / TOKYO ELECTRON Tool. The photoresist is a light-sensitive material that is used to etch patterns on a silicon wafer. It's made of a photosensitive polymer that will polymerize when exposed to UV light and can be softened or removed by exposure to developer solution. When exposed to UV light, the photoresist polymerizes helping in the formation of patterns by creating a mask on the surface of the wafer. The photolithographic tools are used to align the photoresist onto the target surface and consist of the mask aligner, stepper, and scanners. The mask aligner is primarily used for aligning electron beam with the pattern in the mask. The stepper is used for stitching sections of the desired patterns onto the wafer. The scanner is used for scanning a large area of the wafer and patterning the entire surface with lithographic technique. The imaging TEL Asset is the third component of TOKYO ELECTRON Model. This is used to project accurate design patterns onto the target surface with minimum variation. It uses optical, electron beam, or x-ray lithography technology to generate the desired design. The imaging Equipment also consists of light sources, lenses, and filters which are used to facilitate etching patterns in the silicone wafer. Overall, TEL / TOKYO ELECTRON System is widely used in the semiconductor industry for designing complex patterns on wafers with high precision. It is a cost-effective solution for device manufacturing and has been the key to the evolution of electronics. With improved magnification, blemish detection, and imaging systems, the accuracy and reproducibility of the end products are increasing every day.
