AMAT / APPLIED MATERIALS 0010-03500 is a reactor which is used in chemical vapor deposition (CVD) process. It is a specialized piece of process equipment used to apply thin-films of metal, semiconductor, dielectric and organic compounds to a variety of substrates. The CVD reactor uses thermal and chemical processes to vapourise the material and then deposit it onto the substrate. This CVD reactor has an air-cooled hotplate that is designed for use in either a horizontal or vertical configuration. The hotplate has 3 zones that allow for precise temperature control of the substrate and is designed to allow for uniform deposition over the entire substrate. The reactor also features a multi-zone quartz heater that is designed to heat evenly, with a temperature range of room temperature to 1000°C and a tolerance of ±1%. The reactor is also designed to work with a variety of carrier gases including nitrogen, argon, and hydrogen for oxidation processes. AMAT 0010-03500 CVD reactor can be used for a variety of applications including thick film processing, RTP (Rapid Thermal Processing) for semiconductor fabrication, thin film deposition, and for MEMS compatible film processing. The large heated area and adjustable gas flows make this reactor suitable for large scale applications. The gas lines are fitted with mass flow controllers which are used to accurately control the rate of flow of gases to the reactor.
