AMAT / APPLIED MATERIALS 0010-36734 reactor is a vertical, dual chamber design featuring a vacuum atmosphere, enabling simultaneous processing of mass production of products such as compacts, tablets, and a variety of other devices. It is built to handle heavy loads for the automation of quartz crystal microbalance (QCM), hot liquid crystal (HLC), and thin film designs. Designed for flexibility and easy operation, AMAT 0010-36734 reactor allows for reactions at temperatures up to 1150°C and pressure up to 100 mbar. The first chamber of APPLIED MATERIALS 0010-36734 reactor includes a heated quartz tube with an 75 mm outside diameter and thick-wall materials such as quartz glass, SiC and SS316L. The tight-fitting seal on the quartz tube will maintain pressure while separating the two reaction chambers. Additionally, an isolation gate valve is in place between the first and second reactors to enable evacuation standing between the two process gases. The second chamber of 0010-36734 reactor contains a high-velocity bypass burner that is adjustable between 100 and 1100°C, with a nominal reaction temperature of 1150°C. The bypass burner is designed to provide effective heat transfer to the target structure with minimal thermal gradients. To model for the reaction chemistry, a thermal mass flow controller is integrated into the system. The controller will enable precise control over the flow and mix of reaction gases, while the inert gas and process gas can be pulsed through actuated valves at adjustable frequencies.
