Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) Systems.
AMAT / APPLIED MATERIALS Endura II Aluminum Interconnect is a multi-process, mid-sized reactor designed to provide a variety of critical process capabilities for a wide range of applications, from high-volume production to advanced research and development. It offers highest process flexibility and exceptional process performance. The Endura II is capable of processing materials including aluminum (Al), aluminum alloys, copper alloys, and stainless steel (SS), in either batch or continuous sequential process sequences. The reactor features large process capacities, from 25 liters up to 1,250 liters. Additionally, it contains heating elements for uniform heating and cooling, three-zone heaters with multiple programmable temperature settings, integrated digital logic process controllers, and a split vacuum chamber design that offers continuous feed of fresh reactants without contamination. The Endura II operates in three distinct modes: batch, semi-continuous, and continuous. In batch mode, we can run a single process in a batch with pre-determined timing from start to finish. Semi-continuous mode is used to run several pre-defined processes in a batch format and then move on to the next process in a continuous fashion. The continuous mode allows for continuous material replenishment, enabling automatic implementation of process step sequences without user intervention. This ensures that the process continuously runs at its optimum point and can easily be adapted to various product requirements. The capabilities of the Endura II also include advanced material handling and automation, integrated sensors for contamination monitoring, plus automatic clean-in-place (CIP) and controlled environment support. This reactor is an ideal choice for reactive processing in harsh environments like high temperature die casting and heavy-duty welding. The Endura II is also designed for safety and adherence to relevant industry standards. It features redundant over temperature protection and non-return valves in both the vacuum chamber and outlet stream. The system also has emergency stop (E-stop) buttons, explosion proof enclosures, and automated self-diagnostic testing. Overall, this tool offers the flexibility and power needed to process and manufacture both advanced and basic materials. The Endura II's features allow it to meet high-volume commercial production needs, as well as accommodate more advanced laboratory research and development.
