AMAT / APPLIED MATERIALS P5000 is a tool used to conduct thermal and chemical processing to products and materials. It is mainly used for processes such as etching, deposition and oxidation. This reactor operates at temperatures from 400°C to 1000°C in high power densities up to 15W/cm2. It is capable of creating thin films for applications like thermal barrier coatings, and advanced oxidation processes for semiconductor applications. AMAT P-5000 is a 2-zone reactor, meaning it has two bins for material that can be operated independently at different times. It also has two quartz quartz heaters located at the bottom and middle of each bin, with a 3-side faceplate allowing the process gases to interact with the materials at the same time. The reaction chamber is designed to have a sealed atmosphere and is kept at one particular pressure, which allows for more precise temperature, duration, and power control over the materials. APPLIED MATERIALS P 5000 utilizes a dual potentiostat controller in order to control power during the thermal and chemical operations. This controller is designed to be user friendly and easy to program with user chosen parameters and settings. Additionally, its highly precise temperature, pressure and duration control features let the user achieve greater process accuracy and repeatability over time. P 5000 also includes safety features such as an emergency shut-off switch in case of an emergency and an oxygen sensor to monitor O2 levels in the chamber for safety reasons. Additionally, the apparatus is outfitted with a chemical-resistant stainless-steel shell to protect from corrosion or further wear of the reaction chamber. Applications for AMAT P5000 include thin film deposition and sputtering processes, oxidation and nitride oxidation processes, electrochemistry and laser ablation processes. It is also well suited for power device packaging, biomedical implant coatings, and multi-metal/alloy thin film applications. AMAT / APPLIED MATERIALS P 5000 is a highly versatile and reliable system for many thermal and chemical processes. Its safety features and precise control capabilities set it apart from other tools in its class, allowing users to achieve repeatable and consistent results time after time.
