ASM Polygon 8300 / Epsilon 3000 is a high performance production scale chemical reaction equipment designed to efficiently catalyze and control a variety of chemical reactions. The reactor is equipped with a variety of features that allow for effective medium to large scale production, while providing safety and quality control features which ensure that product quality and safety is of the highest standard. The reactor contains two main components: a centrally-mounted polygon-shaped ladder and a hood-like collection vessel. The polygon, which consists of 8 individual sections, serves as the reaction surface and allows for multiple, independent reactions to occur simultaneously. At the center of the polygon, a single through-axis hollow gasket plate is used to contain reaction and recycling materials within the reaction section. This plate is covered with either a high-temperature ceramic lining or a stainless steel lining and is designed to withstand temperatures up to 1150ºC, allowing for even the most hazardous of reactions to take place safely in an enclosed space. The hood-like collection vessel is placed above the polygon and helps to guide the flow of volatile or toxic reaction products or intermediate materials away from the reactor, while aiding in the collection of product compounds. The vessel is made up of a variety of anchoring structures, valves, and filters that allow for precise control and manipulation of the flow and removal of compounds, as well as for the collection of non-liquid compounds. The vessel also contains two water jacket systems, with each of the jacket vessels capable of containing up to 1,000 liters of coolant.
