GENUS 8720 W is a research grade reactor designed for the study and production of catalyzed reactions. The reactor is constructed from a single piece 304 stainless steel body with removable side access ports for easy operation. This reactor is fabricated to some of the highest quality standards, and is suitable for temperature control, sample introduction, and sample collection. At the core of the reactor is a dual jacketed reaction chamber which can be configured for either jacket or coil heating systems. The jacket system uses heated fluid from a thermally insulated jacket to provide uniform heating of the reaction chamber. The coil system consists of an insulated tubing element which can be used to introduce a heated fluid into the chamber. This results in more rapid and uniform heating than with the jacket system. The reactor also includes a collection port for recovering reactants and reaction products. The port is designed to optimize the efficiency of the collection process by allowing quick and efficient removal of the samples without the need to move them from the reaction chamber. Additionally, the port is designed to minimize the risk of sample contamination and loss. The reaction chamber is also fully insulated to reduce heat loss and provide a more favorable operating environment. The walls and lid are constructed out of thermally insulated steel, and the lid is designed with a gasket and a cover plate to further reduce the chance of heat loss. The lid and side access ports are designed with a locking mechanism to ensure that the reactor remains sealed during operation.
