EMCRAFTS CUBE II scanning electron microscope is a high performance instrument designed for imaging samples at ultra-high resolution. CUBE II utilizes a newly developed, revolutionary nanometer-scale spot size scanning technology, which allows for high resolution imaging and analysis of sub-micron and nanometer-sized structures with excellent contrast, resolution, and dynamic range. EMCRAFTS CUBE II's superior imaging capabilities enable applications such as 3D images of nanostructures, tilted cryo-replicas, and advanced specimen preparation such as ion-milled cross-section samples. CUBE II employs a high energy, low-noise energy dispersive x-ray spectrometer, and a through-the-lens camera system with superior depth of field. The proprietary e-beam source is capable of generating electrons up to 50 kV, which provides both higher resolution and a larger depth of field than what is available with traditional electron microscopes. EMCRAFTS CUBE II also features a gallium nitride miniaturized x-ray detector, which enables fast and efficient x-ray data acquisition. The low-noise x-ray detector results in more reliable data and significantly reduced noise in images. CUBE II offers an impressive suite of user controls, allowing the user to quickly fine tune each individual imaging parameter. There is an intuitive interface for specimen preparation, which includes an automated heating and cooling stage, as well as an automated doser for liquid and gas sample conditions. EMCRAFTS CUBE II also includes automated edge-detection, contrast enhancement, and color-coding capabilities, allowing for easy comparison and analysis of sample images. CUBE II also comes with intuitive data handling and analysis tools, including image stitching, image analysis tools, three-dimensional surface reconstructions, and automated spectral analysis for energetic electron bombardment of samples.
