HITACHI CG 4000 is an advanced scanning electron microscope (SEM) designed for complex analytical and imaging applications. It features an extended field of view at high magnification, allowing for superior image resolution. In addition, the model has an aberration-correction system, enabling the user to fine-tune the performance of the microscope. This system allows adjustment of chromatic, spherical, comatic, and astigmatic aberrations. HITACHI CG4000 is equipped with a field emission gun (FEG). FEGs generate a more stable, focused electron beam compared to other conventional electron guns. This, in turn, makes possible achieving excellent image resolution. In addition, the microscope allows for the use of a secondary electron detector for detailed analysis of sample surface structures. The peak resolution of CG-4000 is better than 0.6 nm, making it suitable for nanoscale imaging and analysis. Magnification is up to 500,000x, giving the user the ability to view objects and structures on very small scales. The model is also equipped with several imaging modes, including bright-field, dark-field, backscattered electron, and several contrast/imaging options. Backscattered electron imaging is an ideal technique for imaging non-conductive materials, as well as for characterizing sample composition. Additionally, HITACHI CG-4000 offers a wide range of analysis functions, including EDAX elemental analysis, tomography and 3D measurements, automated particle analysis, and automatic video recording and playback capabilities. CG 4000 also offers a range of sample manipulation capabilities. This allows users to identify subsurface features and particles, or move and analyze samples with extreme precision. CG4000 additionally offers automated sample stage operation, which eliminates the need for manual alignment of the sample. HITACHI CG 4000 is designed for use in a wide range of industries and research fields, such as materials science, semiconductor manufacturing, and nanotechnology. It provides cutting-edge features, such as an extended field of view and aberration-correction system, and is ideal for very demanding analytical and imaging applications.
