HITACHI CG-5000 is a high-end scanning electron microscope (SEM) that is highly capable of producing high-resolution images. It uses an electron beam to scan the sample surface which allows the microscope to directly observe incredibly fine details of a sample. HITACHI CG5000 can be used to make accurate and detailed observations of samples in a wide range of disciplines, such as biological, chemical, architectural, and forensic applications. This model is equipped with a 5kV high-resolution field-emission gun (FEG) for accurate and high-fidelity transmission electron microscopy. It also boasts an impressive working distance of 2.5 mm which allows large, bulky specimens to fit comfortably on the base plate. CG 5000 provides a fast scan rate of up to 60 frames per second, so it can generate a good quality image in a fraction of a second. Its built-in image processing software allows users to tailor the view and improve the contrast of images to their own specification. This model can also be used in a low vacuum environment and with both liquid and dry samples. In addition, HITACHI CG 5000 offers the ability to use both static and dynamic modes of observation. The static mode is ideal for creating images with ultra-high magnification, while the dynamic mode allows a more fluid view. This model also provides a variety of analytical tools such as energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDX). This allows users to identify the chemical composition of samples and check for anomalies and defects. CG5000 also provides connectivity to computers and other laboratory equipment, as well as a user-friendly graphical user interface and clear text feedback. Despite its high priced tag, CG-5000 is one of the top choices for researchers and scientists who need the power and accuracy of a high-end scanning electron microscope.
