HITACHI CG-5000 is a scanning electron microscope (SEM) developed by the Japanese electronics company, HITACHI, Ltd. HITACHI CG5000 model is a top-of-the-line desktop SEM and is renowned for its advanced imaging capabilities and ease of use. The instrument's basic design includes a high-resolution column with five-axis motorized stage and a variable pressure chamber. CG 5000 also features a vacuum gauge, electron gun, and thermionic emission filament, as well as a high-power, variable achromatic objective lens and a trend-correcting driving system which allows for highly precise control over the SEM's imaging parameters. At the core of CG-5000 is HITACHI T800 digital signal processor, which provides the motion control and image data processing for the instrument. The combination of the advanced processor and the powerful electron gun allows for high-quality imaging even with demanding sample materials. HITACHI CG 5000 is capable of producing many different imaging modes such as secondary electrons (SEs), backscattered electrons (BSEs), and cathodoluminescence (CL) with high resolution.
