HITACHI CG-5000 is a scanning electron microscope (SEM) released by the Japanese HITACHI Corporation in the late 1980s. It is an advanced, high-end model that features an increased imaging resolution, a wide range of specimen sizes, and a simplified operating system. HITACHI CG5000 is used for imaging samples with very high levels of accuracy and detail. CG 5000 uses a unique configuration which combines both scanning and transmission electron microscopes. This combination enables the microscope to generate high resolution imaging and no magnification limits.
