HITACHI S-4700 is a powerful scanning electron microscope (SEM). It is designed to provide high resolution imaging with sensitivity, speed, and accuracy. HITACHI S 4700 is equipped with a number of different imaging modes, allowing it to produce both high resolution topographical images and analytical image scanning capabilities. The microscope features a customizable high resolution digital imaging option, which allows for high-speed brightness control and magnification facilities for surface analysis and sectioning. Alongside this, an automated focussing control allows for automated depth of field control to produce amazing topographical images. S-4700 features a large stage size of 200mm x 170mm, allowing for samples up to 200mm x 170 mm to be imaged with ease. S 4700 also features a wide range of sample holders, such as to accompany samples with different shapes. An in-lens or off-axis detection equipment gives users simultaneous control over electron beam current, stage position, and fine positioning of the sample. HITACHI S-4700 also features an Electron Beam Scanning System which is designed to produce high-resolution images quickly. This unit is based around a 3-axis machine with high speed motors. It is designed to provide pinpoint accuracy and outstanding image quality. The microscope also comes with a variety of user-friendly analysis and measurement software packages such as Image Navigator, Image Processing and Analysis, and Navigator Image Analysis software, which enable the easy post-processing of images. Furthermore, HITACHI S 4700 has a vacuum statechamber which is highly reliable and requires minimal maintenance. It is equipped with a turbomolecular pumping tool and a variable-flow gas injection asset to minimize vibration and acoustic noise, allowing for longer and more accurate imaging.
