JEOL JSM 6700F scanning electron microscope is a versatile, high performance, scanning electron microscope. Its advanced design allows it to provide high dimensional resolution and high contrast imaging of a wide range of samples. Its field emission gun (FEG) electron source has excellent characteristics, providing low beam current, low beam divergence and high brightness. As a result, this makes it ideal for a variety of imaging applications. JEOL JSM 6700 F offers a magnification range of 20x to 200,000x at the 3kV range, and 10x to 100,000x at the 0.5kV range. The electron current varies from 0.5 nA to 100 nA. For imaging, it is equipped with both a digital and analog interface for maximum utility. The two separate digital cameras, a deep depletion type (1K x 1K) slow scan and high resolution (2K x 2K) fast scan CCD allow for very high resolution imaging. The integrated image capture and management software allows for easy image processing and file storage. JSM 6700F is able to perform a range of sample interactions such as secondary electron (SE) imaging, backscattered electron (BSE) imaging, and energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS). This allows for the analysis of a sample both by its elemental composition and morphologic features. The EDS analysis is either obtained with an SDD detector, or an X-MAX X-ray spectrometer depending on the application. JSM 6700 F also offers a variety of vacuum states to accommodate a range of samples. It can operate in the conventional vacuum mode (1 x 10-5 Torr) or the high vacuum mode (5 x 10-7 Torr), and can be used in combination with liquid nitrogen cooling to freeze samples and enable cryo-electron microscopy. JEOL JSM 6700F also offers an array of built-in options to customize the microscope for specific applications. Furthermore, the microscope can be integrated into an automated large-scale sample environment for true in-situ imaging and data acquisition. Overall, JEOL JSM 6700 F provides a high level of performance for a wide range of applications, and its integrated options and automated capabilities make it a suitable choice for both laboratory and high-throughput imaging purposes.
