ADT / K&S 7500 is an automated scribing and dicing machine designed to perform precise operations with materials such as textiles, circuit boards, metals, plastics, glass, and more. It is commonly used in industrial, defense, aerospace, research, and medical applications where high accuracy and repeatability are needed. ADT 7500 is a combination of scribing and dicing machines. It consists of three major components: the control/counter, the base frame, and the tooling. The control/counter includes a communications controller and a digital counter, which allow the machine to accurately and quickly adjust to different material qualities and desired operation parameters. The base frame consists of a durable and rigid frame and a pair of precision guides which enable the tooling to move rapidly and accurately. The tooling typically consists of a diamond saw, a laser diode, a high-resolution microscope, and a scriber. The diamond saw is used to cut into the material surface and remove large blocks of material, while the laser diode is used to form precise patterns on the surface. The microscope is used to visually inspect the surface in order to monitor the quality of the cut and relevant process parameters. Lastly, the scriber is used to engrave text or symbols onto the surface. K&S 7500 is highly customizable, with a wide range of operations and cutting parameters that can be adjusted to suit the customer's needs. For example, it can be set to cut at variable speeds, depths, and angles, as well as to change cutting direction and engraving markings. It can also be programmed to repeat a sequence of cuts and scribing operations several times with only minimal human intervention. Capable of handling parts of up to 1000mm per side, 7500 is designed to meet lasers cutting, milling, and forming requirements for a variety of materials with accuracy at the submicron level. This results in a high quality product with improved yields and low costs.
