DISCO EAD 6361 is a scribing/dicing equipment designed for microelectronic applications in the etching/drilling/scribing markets. It is capable of effectively processing materials such as standard and thin-walled quartz, glass, poly, and ceramic substrates. This system is a combination of both a scribe and a dicer, allowing for accurate production of small, standard-sized features such as traces, grooves, and slots. EAD 6361 features an optical scribe head which operates through a double pass laser unit to accurately cut, mark, or create cuts in the substrates. It also provides high-precision cutting even with small feature sizes. With an external controller, it can operate in a single pass or multiple passes and with a speed of up to 500 pulses on the final pass. The machine uses a 532nm Nd:YAG laser at a power range of 5-10W, allowing for higher scribing speeds with minimal substrate deformation. The dicing feature of DISCO EAD 6361 is designed to accurately cut substrates into a variety of shapes and sizes with minimal substrate deformation. It features an advanced Motion Generator which enables high-speed, smooth operation and a robust Alignment Tool for exact positioning of the substrate. The asset is capable of processing materials as thick as 4mm, with a cutting speed of between 3 to 12mm/sec. The Diamond Appulse Ring Wheel and the C-MAC industrial control unit also provide improved flexibility and accuracy with making cuts and ensuring precise alignment. EAD 6361 is safe and easy to operate and requires minimal set-up time before use. It is designed with safety compliance measures on both the laser and dicing components, and is dust and contamination resistant. The model is housed in a compact, fully-enclosed, air-conditioned space, making it easy to install and use. Overall, DISCO EAD 6361 is an effective equipment for achieving accuracy and precision in microelectronic etching/drilling/scribing applications. It offers a combination of features such as high scribing speeds, minimal substrate deformation, a sophisticated core operating system, and a dust and contamination free environment, which provide reliability and repeatable results.
