SELA / CAMTEK MC 500 is an innovative scribing and dicing equipment designed to quickly and accurately cut through soft and hard materials, with maximum accuracy. It features a high-speed cutting head that is capable of processing with a precision of ±5µm, enabling a smooth and precise cutting finish. The cutting head is powered by a motor-driven feed system and a large throat, allowing for easy material loading and ensuring a consistently accurate cut. SELA MC 500 is equipped with a double-disk clamp for mounting material firmly into place. In addition, the frame is made of robust DH40 and is directly connected to a vacuum table for efficient material handling and environmental protection. For cutting flexibility, CAMTEK MC 500 can be configured with an optional blade holder that enables a range of blade sizes from 0.001" (0.03mm) to 0.010" (0.25mm), allowing for various applications. The machinable materials include KPT, PDMS, and soft materials such glass and mesh, as well as hard materials like glass-ceramics and sapphire. MC 500 can process a variety of work pieces with a size range of 0.09" (2.3mm) to 1.97" (50mm). Furthermore, the CCD camera systems are capable of detecting the position of the cutting line, allowing the cutting head to trace a perfect path and allowing the unit to utilise a range of cutting patterns. The control machine that drives SELA / CAMTEK MC 500 is easy-to-use and controls the scribing, dicing or bevelling process with automatic precision. This, together with the sophisticated detection tool, ensures that the process yields a smooth and precise finish. The fully integrated and air-cooled SELA MC 500 is equipped with safety features such as safety doors, laser detectors and pressure sensors, providing convenient operation and excellent safety. Overall, CAMTEK MC 500 allows for a smooth, precise and accurate approach for any machine tools, particularly in scribing, dicing or bevelling.
