Wafer edge grinding machine 2010 vintage.
ACCRETECH / TSK W-GM-4200B is a next-generation wafer grinding, lapping and polishing equipment designed for precision surface conditioning and edge reduction of substrates up to 4". It is capable of handling size batches from 8 to 4000 wafers, allowing for efficient and cost-effective surface conditioning while maintaining the highest possible quality control standards. The system features a range of lapping and polishing heads and a unique vacuum cooling substrate clamp that holds substrates securely in place and ensures repeatable, uniform processing. The highly innovative design of the unit also includes a number of electrical, electromechanical and pneumatic components to guarantee stable, efficient, and highly accurate lapping and polishing of the substrate edges. This guarantees that all edges are finished within tight tolerances while meeting the highest standards of particle counts, Rq and contamination control. The machine can be operated with either a manual or a CNC control tool. The CNC control asset allows for accurate, programmable movements with fine control over grinding speed and direction, lap speed, and substrate placement. In addition, the model can be used for both flat and cylindrical lapping and polishing operations. TSK W-GM-4200B also provides a variety of options for the selection of consumables and accessories. These include diamond and abrasive lapping disks, diamond and abrasive polishing disks, colloidal silica polishing slurry, abrasive tapes and films, and diamond polishing pads. All consumables and accessories are designed to work in tandem with the equipment to ensure a consistently high-quality surface finish. Finally, the system is equipped with a range of safety features that ensure safe and secure operation. It includes an interlock switch that prevents the lapping or polishing heads from moving without the user's consent, as well as a monitored emergency stop button that can be used to stop the unit in case of emergency. In addition, an antimagnetic prevention switch can be used to prevent accidents involving metal objects, while a range of optical and acoustic warning signals alert the user to any potential hazards.
