BLANCHARD 22K-44 is an efficient and accurate grinding, lapping and polishing system used by customers in a variety of industries including aerospace, automotive, mold & die, electronics and medical. It features a patented, low-profile design that allows it to take advantage of central or perimeter grinding on a hard, durable, stainless steel baseplate, which increases grinding speeds and reduces downtime. It is capable of grinding, lapping and polishing both metal and non-metallic materials with a consistent finish. The system utilizes two pieces of equipment—a grinding head and a lapping & polishing head—allowing for a straightforward and efficient workflow. The grinding head is powered by a 7500 RPM motor that allows the operator to grind with greater accuracy, consistency, better results and lower cost per part. Additionally, the grinding head is capable of accurate movement in the X, Y and Z axes, allowing for repeated results regardless of part shape and material. The lapping & polishing head is engineered to deliver superior finishing and part accuracy with a smooth surface finish, while economizing in part cycle times. It also offers an automated, computer-controlled diamond-wheel dressing cycle that ensures the wheels are optimized in terms of dressing, providing repeatable results with less frequent wheel changes. Additionally, the head is designed with a self-contained coolant system for improved longevity and surface finish results.
