WINS FSD-200M/A wafer handler is a state-of-the-art roboticized system designed to accurately, consistently, and efficiently transfer, elevate and locate semiconductor wafers within a cleanroom environment. The device is 5 axis, 7-axis-capable, and able to automatically synchronize the cassette transfer to a main arm gripper. With an interface communication protocol called FSD Bus, the FSD-200M/A wafer handler is capable of linking the main arm unit, the transferring unit, and the elevating unit together to move and transport wafers within a specific distance. In addition, an optical scanner is embedded within the main arm to perform real time readings in order to determine and alter the position of the wafer as needed. The main arm of the FSD-200M/A wafer handler has a grip capacity of 200mm with a maximum speed of 450mm/sec. The transferring unit is designed to pick up wafers from their cassettes and move them over to the elevating unit. The elevating unit is designed to lift and move wafers from one process station to another inside the cleanroom, and features a base plate that can travel up and down, and a lift platform with the capacity to carry a single wafer up to 250mm away. The FSD-200M/A wafer handler also features an embedded digital two-way temperature-compensating mechanism to ensure accurate temperature readings and adjustments. With this feature, the device is able to adjust its speed and force coefficient to adapt to different processes. Additionally, the advanced vision capability of the FSD-200M/A wafer handler ensures accurate picking and placing of the wafers at all times.
