AMERIMADE NH4OH / H2O2 is a wet station designed to remove a variety of contaminants commonly found in industrial process water. The unit utilizes two different chemical catalysts (ammonia hydroxide, also known as ammonia, and hydrogen peroxide) to break down various organic and inorganic compounds that can occur in water supplies. The station also provides a means of maintaining constant chemical dosing levels, ensuring that all of the contamination is being effectively removed, while providing protection against microbial growth. The primary process takes place in the wet station's reaction vessel; the vessel is manufactured from polyethylene and is designed to facilitate strong chemical reactions. The vessel holds a predetermined amount of chemicals, and is equipped with a recirculating catalyst pump (RCP) to continuously mix the chemicals and maintain the integrity of the solution. Furthermore, the reaction vessel is equipped with a pH sensor, allowing for the automatic real-time adjustment of the pH, as well as monitoring for any potential runaways. The chemicals used within the wet station are then pushed through the wastewater pipe and into the wastewater tank, where they are further broken down by the addition of a separately regulated chemical additive or air. This process is further enhanced by the presence of a separate bio-filter in the filtration chambers, which utilizes a membrane-based filtration process to further purify the wastewater. Finally, the wastewater is then discharged out of the wet station and into a nearby body of water.
