RAMGRABER 2005 is a wet station used for the removal of suspended sediment and oil from stormwater runoff. The station is designed for sites with a large drainage area and is typically located between the collection area, such as a dry well, and receiving body, such as a lake or stream. The station helps maintain site stability and protect downstream water quality by reducing sediment and oil from stormwater runoff. 2005 consists of two stages, a sedimentation stage and an oil-stilling stage. The sedimentation chamber is a multi-tiered chamber with a series of baffles to slow the velocity of the entering water and promote the settling of sediment and larger suspended solids. The sedimentation stage is capable of removing up to 94% of the total suspended solids in the runoff, depending on the size of the particles entering the station. The second stage of RAMGRABER 2005 is the oil-stilling stage, designed to separate and remove oil and grease from the runoff. This stage utilizes an absorbent media to capture and remove these hydrocarbons, allowing them to settle in the bottom of the tank. This stage can remove up to 99% of the total oils and greases entering the station. The station also features flow control systems, variably controlled weirs, large sediment retention chambers and bypass systems to divert the largest peak flows away from the station and the receiving body. All the components can be assembled in many different configurations to provide superior performance for larger flows and different pipe sizes. The tank is made of durable and lightweight polyethylene and includes strategically placed ladders for servicing and regular maintenance. It can also be constructed with covers to conceal the unit as well as limit access to the tank openings. In summary, 2005 wet station is a complete system for the removal of sediment, oils and grease from stormwater runoff. The two-stage design features sedimentation stages to capture and remove most of the suspended solids, and the oil-stilling stage allows the station to capture and remove up to 99% of the oils and greases entering the station. The station also features variable flow control systems, large sediment retention chambers and bypass systems, and its durable construction makes it suitable for large sites.
