WAFAB PVCC (Pressure Vacuum Containment Chamber) is an enclosure designed to safely contain pressurized liquefied gas at low temperatures and maintain a safe environment. The chamber consists of two distinct vessels, an inner shell and an outer casing. The inner shell, also known as the "Process Vessel", is a pressure-holding vessel that contains the pressurized gas and other liquids which have been vacuumed to create a vacuum environment. This vacuum environment prevents any contaminants from entering the liquid and damaging the pressure integrity of the chamber. The outer casing, known as the "Containment Vessel", is an insulation system that helps retain the vacuum and minimize heat loss. A positive pressure inert gas is also introduced into the Containment Vessel to help maintain the vacuum. Intermesh seals are located between the inner shell and the outer casing and are designed to restrict possible leakage of gas from the process vessel. This is accomplished through use of a pressure-swing valve and two or more spring-loaded intermeshed seals. This valve is set to close off the process vessel's shell in case of a pressure build-up, which helps prevent any containment failure. Additionally, the intermesh seals are intended to provide a leak-tight seal between the inner and outer vessel. The interior of the Process Vessel can be equipped with a variety of components and processes. Typically, these include pumps and valves, metering equipment, piping, instrumentation, and expansion chambers. This equipment is designed to maintain and monitor the contents of the chamber as well as provide a proper environment for gas and liquid storage. Additionally, PVCC chambers can be insulated to provide protection against heat and cold. The Containment Vessel is designed for complete protection of the process vessel and its contents. This vessel is typically made of stainless steel, plastic, or fiberglass, and features a flush-mount design. This design helps to reduce contamination, making the chamber a highly efficient means of containing pressurized gases and liquids. The Containment Vessel can also be equipped with an auxiliary air supply system, which is designed to provide a stable source of air in case of a power loss or pressure drop. By using a variety of safety features and insulation materials, WAFAB PVCC are designed to safely and securely contain pressurized gases and liquids in an efficient, cost-effective wet station. This chamber type is often used in industrial, operation, and medical applications, ensuring the highest level of safety, integrity, and reliability.
