TEL / TOKYO ELECTRON Clean Track Mark 7 (CTM7) is a photoresist equipment that accurately scans patterns to produce precise stencils and etched patterns on a variety of substrates, including metals, electronics, glass, and others. This system has been developed to take advantage of the latest semiconductor and packaging technology. It is designed with a 'clean' print head that eliminates dust, dirt, and other contaminants that could prevent accurate pattern formation. The CTM7 consists of a shuttle unit, a bellows, and a double-sided chuck with a rotation plate. The shuttle machine moves the panel or substrate from station to station, automatically executing each step of the process. The bellows center the panel and seal the vacuum bag together with the tool. There are three stages of the process. First, a pre-process is conducted to prepare the substrate surface for deposition. During this stage, any dust, dirt, or other contaminants are removed from the surface of the substrate. The process is completed by heating the substrate to allow for efficient adhesion. Next, photoresist deposition takes place. Photoresist is a liquid that is exposed to light, then solidifies when hardened. A laser beam is used to expose the substrate to the photoresist material, with an accuracy of 0.5 microns. This stepper asset allows for precision patterns and etching of the substrate. Finally, the post-process takes place. This step removes all remaining photoresist from the substrate. A hot liquid wash, followed by substrate drying and electrochemical etching completes the process. The result is a high-precision, high-reliability stencil that can be used for many applications. The CTM7 is an efficient and cost-effective tool, since it can handle up to panels at a time, with accurate imprints delivered in less time than traditional processes. As a result, the CTM7 reduces energy consumption while optimizing production.
